Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years). Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

The Finger Lakes Health Care System, Bath VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Physician to join our team. This position is located within Primary Care.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
51% - Primary Care:
- Provide coverage for a vacant/absent PACT provider to supplement PACT services by delivering same-day care, routine scheduled care, or new patient intake for PACT panel(s)
- Provide coverage for Urgent Care when asked by Chief of Primary Care
- Conduct fitness for duty exams for current and prospective employees
- Conduct surveillance exams
- Evaluate and treat injured employees
- Toxic Exposure Champion for VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System
- Traumatic Brain Injury Exams
- Participate in educational programs for service personnel as well as medical staff
- Participate in quality assurance programs, peer reviews, and chart reviews
- Complete medical records in accordance with Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Primary Care Staff
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chief of Primary Care
- Participate in, and attend, CME activities and VA continuing educational activities
- Current BLS required /ACLS desirable
49% - Compensation and Pension:
- Perform history and physical examinations on Veterans
- Orders and evaluates appropriate diagnostic studies
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate veterans
- Demonstrates the knowledge of the changes associated with aging and possesses the ability to evaluate veterans based upon physical, psycho/social, cultural, safety and other age-related factors
- Maintain productivity standards
- Demonstrates leadership in the C&P Service and demonstrates the ability to work effectively
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 4:00
