This position is eligible for
the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Recruitment/Relocation Incentive:
May be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

A summary of the duties is mentioned below but not limited to:
- Patient care and supervision of Endocrinology fellows in the outpatient clinic and on the inpatient consult rotation, and performance of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirate (FNA) thyroid biopsies as needed.
- Treating patients with endocrine diseases. Common disorders are: thyroid abnormalities, diabetes, hypertension, infertility, cholesterol disorders, and endocrine neoplasias.
- Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances.
- Discussing diagnose with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures.
- Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records.
- Conducting research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques.
- Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions and their loved ones.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (These work hours are subject to change depending on inpatient call, and the outpatient needs of a Veteran.)
